Limited Partnerships under Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020

On Friday, 7th of August 2020, President Muhammadu Buhari signed the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020 into law. The Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020 covers a number of innovations and changes in key provisions to provide good economic and business conditions. Many posits that the reform will ease the business environment to stimulate growth, claiming business in the country has been simplified and investors will have more confidence doing business in Nigeria. Amongst other introductions is the inclusion of Limited Partnerships. Succinctly, there exist no such provisions in the repealed Company and Allied Matters Act 1990.
